Soccer Notice

Harper soccer practice starts for all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls on Tuesday, February 19th at 3:50 on the Korematsu soccer field. Be ready to play! If it is raining you will meet in the gym. 


Remember that you cannot practice if all your paperwork is not turned in online and your current physical turned in to the front office.  See Mrs. Britton if you have any questions about your paperwork.

Wrestling Notice

All Junior High Wrestlers:

Please return your school singlet and your headgear to the Holmes front office before February 22nd.

Spring Sport Paperwork


The spring sport paperwork deadline for:


Soccer is Friday, February 19th


Track is Friday, Friday, April 15th


Please remember that even if you do your paperwork online, your sport paperwork is not complete UNTIL you turn in the paper copy of your current physical signed by a physician.


If you have been cleared to play a sport during the fall or winter, you are all set for the spring and do not need to turn in anything else.

Junior High Athletic Packet

Practice Times - 8th grade Basketball

Harper 8th Grade Basketball has begun!


8th Grade Girls meet Coach Darcie Hauger in the gym after school at 3:45. Practice from 3:45-5:30pm Monday – Friday.

7th Grade Boys meet the Coach Jon Negin in the gym at 5. Practice from Monday – Friday 5-7 pm


All athletes be dressed and ready to play in shorts and a t-shirt with athletic shoes that tie.

How to Participate

Athletes are expected to:

  • maintain a 2.0 GPA with no F’s
  • be in good disciplinary standing at school
  • have the online athletic packet completed, and turn in a current physical form to the front office by the paperwork deadline that is different for each sport.

Winter sport paper deadline: Friday, October 19th

Spring sport paper deadline: Friday, February 15th


Physicals must be signed by your doctor before the start of your sport and are valid for the entire year.  Please plan accordingly and book your doctor's visits in advance.  All forms can be found in the front office,however, we encourage you to use the online system for all paperwork.

League Information

Seasons generally consist of 7 weeks total, 2 weeks of all practice followed by 5 weeks of practice and league games.  The expectation is that all athletes will attend all practices and all games or competition.  Practice times are determined by the coach and will typically run Monday through Friday and when competition starts, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.


In addition, all of the 8th-grade teams participate in a league tournament at the end of their season.

8th Boys / Girls Basketball

January 8 - February 16   


7th and 8th Boys / Girls Soccer

February 19 - April 10


7th and 8th Boys / Girls Track and Field

April 15 - May 23

Please turn your sports donation into the front office to Mrs. Brittan, or you can submit online, please do not give donations to your coach.

YCAL Games

Please remember that schools in the YCAL will charge a fee at the door to enter into the games.  Admission for schools other than Davis schools is $3.00 per adult and $2.00 for students, children 10 and under are FREE.


Please remember to always represent our school with positive sportsmanship and cheering for all teams and officials.
